RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has lifted a ban on recruitment of 35,000 teachers (educators) across the province including Rawalpindi and directed the relevant officials to recruit teachers in line with new policy.
The Punjab Government through a circular issued has directed the deputy commissioners, chief executive officers and education authorities of 36 Tehsils located in Punjab, to recruit the 35,000 teachers as per the new policy. The relevant authorities have been asked to complete the process within one month and recruit teachers in all the categories on merit.
The committee members have been warned that if any complaint is received regarding any irregularity in appointment process, then the whole committee would be responsible for the negligence.
In Rawalpindi district, as many as 3035 teachers of all categories would be appointed in arts and sciences subjects.
