Russian Deputy Defence Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin on Tuesday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, the minister lauded the Pakistan Army’s efforts in war against terrorism and called for greater cooperative and collaborative approach among global community to defeat extremism.
Regional security situation and matters of mutual interest, including enhancement of bilateral defence and security cooperation were discussed at the meeting, the statement said.
