The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has decided to raise the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by 20 rupees per kilogram for the next month of January.
It’s the fourth consecutive increase in LPG rates during 2019, as announced by Ogra and is mainly attributed to the surge in international prices.
A notification issued by Ogra read that with the increase of Rs 20 per kg, the price of the domestic cylinder would increase by Rs 250, while the commercial cylinder would increase by Rs 900. The new price of the domestic cylinder would be Rs 1760 and the commercial cylinder would be Rs 6810.
Meanwhile, an Ogra spokesman warned that violation of government’s notified prices would be dealt with strict action.
